The multi-layered installation is inspired by the artist’s own experience in Lagos, Nigeria in December 2009. The social aspect of the city is reflected upon the memory passage interpreted from what she observed. It runs several timelines within one installation, such as her imaginary experience through photography before visit and her actual observation through video & audio documentation, and expresses a partial yet complete situation emerged from one person’s or one city’s indivisible self portrait.

*Another interpretation of ABSENT CITY.
