Sociological Lunch & its musical experience

Sociological Lunch is a conversation project initiated by Megumi Matsubara to draw an urban landscape based on psychological narratives of its inhabitants. Having started in Tokyo in 2008, it has been expanding to other cities including African cities such as Lagos (2009) and Nairobi (2011).

The conversation is always documented and to be translated into music by Finnish composer Ilpo. In 2011, Megumi Matsubara also began DJ-mixing the set of Sociological Lunch music, performing live with Japanese editor Toshiaki Koga.
