A room for the colour blind

A room for the colour blind

Site-specific installation for a room in the main hall of Le Moulin, Boissy-le-Chatel.
(Applied films and fiber fabric, Mirror, Pottery sculpture, dimension variable)
SPHÈRES 5, Le Moulin, France, 2012.

For the occasion of SPHÈRES at Le Moulin, Megumi Matsubara brought two projects that interact with each other.
A proposal for a textbook to learn Braille, English, and other languages is a series of photography consisting of the images of sculptures made by blind children. It suggests a book that stands between the seeing and the nonseeing. “A room for the colour blind” is a site-specific installation dedicated to the space of Le Moulin to communicate about, and further explore her recent approach to the visible/invisible space.
